Do UK prisons have solitary confinement? It’s amazing how many offender healthcare professionals don’t acknowledge that prisoners being held on ‘Seg’ - the abbreviation for the UK’s Segregation Units, also known as Care & Supervision Units (CSUs) - are in fact being held in conditions of solitary confinement. If you’re attending this week’s Health & Justice Summit in Manchester, do come along to the seminar on this on Thursday afternoon, titled ‘Is “Fitting for Seg” certification fit for purpose?'
