Short-term volunteers

The majority of our short-term unpaid personnel are official trainees on placements of one kind or another. Periodically though, other people - be they healthcare professionals or lay people - give up their time simply to volunteer with us for a few weeks. (If they stay beyond three months, we consider them staff.)

Dr Beatrice Li
BMedSci BMBS MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH DCH DFSEM HKAM (FM) 

Beatrice is a UK-trained family medicine specialist with a deep passion for sharing the gospel through medical practice and cross-cultural service. Previously she has worked in Hong Kong.

She is eager to learn about the world of medical missionaries. So she will be serving with us for three weeks in January 2026.

Off duty, she loves running, water sports and hiking with her dog.
