Courses

We have designed and run three basic types of courses - a guided self-study training track, a medical school special study project, and a public speaking advocacy workshop.

Health & Justice Track

This online course is for healthcare professionals interested in caring for vulnerable patient groups. It guides self-exploration of the health and justice interface including career options.

Created and run for CMF members during the first two years of the pandemic, we are considering converting it into an in-house program.

Medics & Justice

This hybrid student-selected course (SSC) is for student healthcare professionals. It explores the interface between medicine and achieving justice for vulnerable patient groups.

Created and run for the University of Leeds from 2012 until 2020 when the pandemic took hold, we are considering how best to use it in this post-pandemic era.

Speaking Truth to Power

This practical day course is for healthcare professionals interested in learning how to advocate in the public square for vulnerable patient groups.

Created and run for CMF members before the pandemic, it was adapted to run in hybrid fashion as part of the Health & Justice Track. We are considering how best to use it in this post-pandemic era.
