This is an innovative introduction to the subject of torture & ill-treatment, aimed at healthcare professionals & other interested parties.
It is a peer-written textbook, meaning that its target readership has been involved in its creation. The raw material was investigated and written by medics who are interested in the field but are not specialists in it. Still, the project has been both overseen and now edited by specialists in the field of torture & ill-treatment prevention & detection.
The raw English language material is now being edited chapter-by-chapter. It is then being translated into French, Romanian & Spanish. And then it is being published chapter-by-chapter on this website - as webpages and printable PDFs.
Once this process has been completed, it will also be published as both an e-book and printed book…
